The Rodeo Experience

video
VIDEO #122
Song - "Cotton Eyed Joe" Remix by Rednex
Here is the recap from the 65th Annual Long Beach Rodeo. Those crazy cowboys and cowgirls are almost having too much fun! What a hoot. Also, this video reaches a major milestone in the movie marathon. 122 videos marks one third of the way to April 1st 2011. Holy cow! Yee-Haw!!

Camping at the Lake

video
VIDEO #121
Song - "Turn This Boat Around" by Matt and Kim
Here is the last video from the lake trip in the Clatsop Forest. Had a great time and hope to be back very soon. For those who'd like to come out and float the lake, let me know. I'll show you where this little gem is!

Pony Rides

video
VIDEO #120
Songs - "Mister would you please help my pony" by Ween and "Pony" by Ginuwine
Rodeos are tons of fun but the best fun is found early in the morning the second day at the "cowboy breakfast." With the recession, portions have been cut but the love is still in the pancakes. Tasty treats that will energize you for a full day of pony rides!

Jimmy's Gone Missin'

video
VIDEO #119
Creepy Sounds from the Clatsop Forest
This video is dedicated to my good friend Jim who wouldn't be caught dead trekking around a dark, scary forest in the middle of the night in search of the beast that's making loud, howling noises. No, Jim tends to only enjoy the "out of doors" on a man made structure called a deck or maybe a patio. I'm sure if Jim were to be in the same area where 10 tall trees were in eyesight, he would be "camping." Jimmy, this one's for you!

The Last Bull Ride

video
VIDEO #118
Song - "Big Iron" by Johnny Cash
The Long Beach 65th annual rodeo last weekend brought cringes to many people's faces as bull riders were getting thrown around like rag dolls. To start the series of videos, I put together a little montage showing the brutal sport of bull riding. Ouch!

LONGest BEACH

video
VIDEO #117
Song - "My Beach" by Human Highway
28 sandy miles makes Long Beach, Washington the longest beach in the world (further research proves it isn't but it is the United States longest which is pretty fantastic). With foggy and brisk weather, we had to wear what we could find from our recent visit to Long Beach's annual rodeo (awesome videos sure to follow). Besides the unpredictable weather, a great place to get some fresh chowder and possibly catch your own, driving on the beach, amazing bakery, great people watching and of course the Long Beach Tavern aka the LBT to wet your whistle after long windy walks on the beach. Oh, and the bridge you'll see spans the Colombia River from Oregon to Washington. Also, great fun.

Organic Showering

video
VIDEO #115
Song - "Pour Some Sugar on Me" by Def Leopard
This morning was awesome, woke up all nice and dirty, hopped on down to the clean lake and took a quick dip. Not a bad way to start the weekend, minus having to drop in and steal some internet to upload this damn thing. Oh well, they serve strong drinks here, it too is awesome.

Bird Salad

VIDEO #114
Song - "Daylight" by Matt and Kim
At the Deck, you leave for one second and the birds will have their way with your shrimp salad. Also, they are obviously not camera shy.

The Human Motorcycle

video
VIDEO #113
Song - "Moody Motorcycle" by Human Highway
I went for a hike from the house and found a lot of interesting features yesterday including Batman's lair, Herbie the Love Bug's long lost brother and the ancient ruins of motor cross. Seriously, about a hundred obstacles for the motorcycle enthusiast live deep in the midst of a sherwood-like forest. The only problem is that it seems the site has been through an apocalypse and the surviving humans are not capable of riding motor bikes. I don't know, it was really strange.

Self Help: Neighbor #3

video
VIDEO #112
Extreme Exercise Mix with a hint of Tony Robbins
This guy takes the cake as far as a lousy neighbor goes. Hours everyday, this grease ball revs his bike trying to clean the carburetor which clearly doesn't seem to be working. So instead of telling the guy he's selfish and a loud prick, I grabbed my camera to share his greatness with the world. Take that buddy!

Bad Idea #001

video
VIDEO #111
Song - 8-Bit Remix of "Never Gonna Give You Up" by Rick Astley
By far, this is not the first bad decision I've made in my time but it is the first caught on camera from the start of the video of the day that went terribly wrong. For you inspired kids out there, make sure the street is clear of potholes before you try Subaru Skateboarding!

The Alleyway Project

video
VIDEO #110
Song - "English Summer Rain" by Placebo
Yesterday I was fortunate to see the start of an ongoing, collaborative art project at the Alleyway Cafe and Bar on NE Alberta St. Drew started early and went all night long, bringing in another artist to add her special touch. Sounds like the fence will be forever changing so head on down for happy hour to the cozy patio, have a cold one and check it out.

Mike's New Bling

video
VIDEO #109
Song - "Good 'Ol Fashioned Nightmare" by Matt and Kim
Yesterday we went to the pet store to get Mike a new fashionable collar to replace his missing one which is a real mystery as to where it could be. In the process of exciting collar purchasing, we strolled around the store to visit the cute buddies waiting patiently for a new family. All were adorable and Poppy, the green eyed cat, made Katana teary she was so cute. Someone should really head to Pet Smart in Hazel Dell WA, make Poppy a happy cat and take her home. We would but Mike told us he can't afford the attention loss from a new cat.

Self Help: Neighbor #2

video
VIDEO #108
Extreme Exercise Mix with a hint of Tony Robbins
Ok, so before you all start judging me as a peeping tom and/or a plain old bad person with an incredibly awesome camera zoom, let me explain. Our neighbors belong in a reality t.v. show called something like, "I do what I want." There seems to be a theme here on 84th Ave and it involves loud devices, lack of clothing on not-so-hot bodies, cigarettes or similar, The Eagles on tape played from a battery powered stereo and more loud devices. Instead of confrontation, I have decided to make these videos. Great alternative to neighbor wars... the world watches while they pick their butt and I continue capturing it. It really comes down to, who has the last laugh.

House Boat Happy Hour

video
VIDEO #107
Song - "Volcano" by Jimmy Buffett
Yesterday we ventured out to the river to enjoy a little happy hour at "The Deck" located off Marine Drive in the midst of all the house boats. Really cool location and not a bad happy hour menu and great for you bird lovers. Somehow these birds have learned to beg and pretend they have a handicap. It's more scary than cute. FYI, they prefer shrimp.

Showering with Gringo

video
VIDEO #106
Song - "Cielito Lindo" by Silvestre Vargas
Gringo was hot today and felt like cooling the summer's heat with a cool spray from the garden hose. Effective and a good way to multitask if watering the yard is required in your every other daily life routine.

Behind the Scenes: Old Spice

video
VIDEO #105
Today we wrapped the great old spice campaign. It was pretty amazing to see the feedback from around the world and reply with instant videos (which at one point crashed youtube) to the public which included replies from ABC, NBC, NPR, NYTimes, tweets from Twitter itself, Washington DC reps, celebs like Demi Moore, Alyssa Milano and Christina Applegate and of coarse, the regular Joe Public. A pretty cool experience and lesson in today's successful marketing strategies. Oh, ...I'd like to add, I've been a Spice Guy for some time now and I agree, it has aided in attracting the female muscle in sensitive lady noses my way from an early man age. Thanks Old Spice.

Self Help: Neighbor #1

video
VIDEO #104
Extreme Exercise Mix with a hint of Tony Robbins
From the comfort of my own window, across the street this evening, our neighbor was deep in thought as she was multitasking in search of true self meaning. If she succeeds, we will hear Jerry Garcia tonight. If not, we will see her back on the bike tomorrow. Stay tuned...

House Warming

video
VIDEO #103
Song - "Watermelon Crawl" by Tracy Byrd
It took a bit of time but the day came and now has passed, passed and written, now permanently written on the internet stone as an awesome time with fantastic people. Thank you all so much for making us feel even more at home and sorry to have left out anyone due to lack of photos/videos. The camera people ate too much vodka infused watermelon, compliments of Chadd. Thanks good buddy!

Super Dog

video
VIDEO #102
Song - "A Breeze From Alabama" Classic Rag
Dogs sure get excited when there's a ball around, sometimes too excited. This guy was so excited he jumped up, caught the ball then dropped into the void. The dog was never found.

Nuclear Terror!!!

video
VIDEO #101
Atomic Cafe Propaganda
The Trojan in Washington State is long gone but not forgotten. Why we look back at an enormous structure that emitted huge pollutants into our atmosphere as something to be proud of as an accomplishment to marvel in... like, "ahhh the Trojan, I remember that, ahhhh", no one knows, but it seems fairly obvious that when it implodes it's really fantastic!

100 Time Lapse Videos

video
VIDEO 100
Song - "Paper Aeroplane" by Angus and Julia Stone
100 consecutive videos, wow! I am thrilled to have made it this far and hope to follow with 265 more. To celebrate, I chose 100 time lapse clips I've shot through out the years. For those who know me well, you might find yourself making a cameo in the montage. Well, back to work. For those tuning in, drop in, say hi and leave a comment. Knowing people are watching helps to make it all happen. Thank you all for the support!

Floating the Clackamas

video
VIDEO #099
Song - "Dueling Banjos" from Deliverance
A great retreat from this hot, hot heat is hitting the rivers and floating with some friends. Great times to be had on the Clackamas River, don't forget your sun essentials, drink of choice and favorite floatie. The turtle was no surprise, a big hit.

video
VIDEO #096

Mantene Bro V

VIDEO #094

Song - "Sound of Silence" remixed by Gregorian Chant

Sometimes a mans gotta feel sexy too and with the mass variety of products available these days, it isn't hard. I would highly recommend "Mantene Bro V" Shampoo, for him. It leaves the hair silky smooth with a flirt of sass. Best used with the Pacific Ocean.

Our First Tattoo

video
VIDEO #092
Song - "Freedom of Speech" by Above the Law
You know you're "hard" when you can pull off a spongebob tat on a thursday night, especially on the neck like a true gangsta. Hats off to Chadd, let the night be filled with netting jelly fish, krabby patties and good sandy pals keeping you smiling! I'll just be here in the bat cave keeping the blog real:)
