The Super Moon

If you were fortunate enough to see past the clouds tonight, the "Super Moon" (Super because it was the closest to the Earth tonight versus the last 18 years or so, Moon... well, because it's still the moon) lit up the sky......... just a little more than it did the last time I saw a full moon. Still, it was awesome and I am very happy to have seen such a super moon. I wonder who the genius(s) is/are who come(s) up with such a name for such a spectacular event? Maybe super people?

This morning we had snow followed by sunshine, soon to come was rain and finally hail. A crazy day which made the cats a little confused, especially Mike the Cat. I tried to make this look as if Mike was having a little daydream of a nice summer's day during the rain, so picture that if it doesn't happen for ya. Off the subject, Happy Birthday Tana, let's go bowling!

These time lapse clips all took place tonight, deep in the Nevada desert where snakes and scorpions roam the dried earth, sage brush blows aimless over dunes and roller coasters scream through the sky at a mini version of New York City. Wait... what was that last part? Three words... Vegas baby, Vegas!

Today, I was shacked up inside all day working. Every now and then I caught myself peeking out the window. Finally, a day the sky isn't flat grey! I felt like I was missing out so I threw up a couple time lapses to review the phenomenon at a later time. Well, this is then and it seemed to be a great day and a clear night. Thanks Mr. Video Camera. You complete me.
