I believe everything said was very logical. But, what about this? what if you composed a catchier post title? I am not saying your content isn't good., but suppose you added a headline to maybe get people's attention? I mean "How to: Beat Your Meat" is kinda plain.
You should look at Yahoo's home page and see how they create news headlines to get people to click. You might try adding a video or a related pic or two to grab readers excited about what you've got to say. In my opinion, it could bring your blog a little bit more interesting.
