Sledding with the Ladies

VIDEO #399

No matter who you are and what ever your age, sledding is one of those activities that is hard to do without laughing out loud. Family and friends headed to what I call "Chaos Mountain" up in Government Camp for a little snow play. I did not capture much footage from the day because it was that much fun, very little time for filming. By the end of our time at Chaos Mountain, all left with perma-grins and many have the bruises to prove it. Viva, El Caos Montana!

Blowing Stuff Up with the Neighbors

VIDEO #377

Song - "A Fond Farwell" by Joel Martin - Originally by Elliott Smith

For those who watch frequently and know of the neighbors that tend to steal the spotlight with their domestic disputes and karate skills, this video goes to show that, with the bad there will be good, you just have to light a fuse and hold on tight. Here's to you in the neighborhood that don't suck. Thanks for sparkling up the hood!

A Late Winter

VIDEO #332

Song - "Brackett" by Bon Iver

Spring sprung early, snow fell late... only time will tell if the groundhog was right or wrong.... either way, life will go on. Yes, I am deeply looking forward to a summer filled with medium hot temperatures. Not too hot where a pool is mandatory, just hot enough to be a luxury. Oh summer, how I miss thee.

Light My Fire

VIDEO #321

Song - "Basket Case" by Green Day covered by Rockabye Baby

Cold, rainy weather calls for a cozy night at home. We sure were happy to have upgraded to the instamatic mood setting house mode when we moved in. Now, the house just does what we ask it to. Make me a fire.... done! Clean the cat box..... done! Blow delicious clean air from your vents... no problem. It's totally worth the extra couple bucks a month.

People Are Strange

VIDEO #314

Song - "People Are Strange" by The Doors, covered by Echo and the Bunnymen

If you have seen the movie, "Lost Boys" you might recognize this cover by The Doors. Also, you might remember the movie later opens up to a very similar montage that takes place in Santa Clara. I always liked the movie (who couldn't like a movie the Two Coreys were in?) and I wanted to pay tribute to it... Vegas style.

Picture Windows

VIDEO #274

Song - "Paper Planes" by MIA

Before the new year, we decided to upgrade our inefficient dining room windows to sexy, sliding vinyl windows with tax credit benefits... yes, very exciting! Special thanks to Mckenzie and Bill for battling our crocked addition, you guys are amazing. If anyone out there needs a good team of handymen, these would be your guys. Alright, I'm heading back to play with the new windows!

Shuffleboard Battle

VIDEO #270

Song - "Girls & Boys" by Blur

A little battle of the sexes never hurt anyone, so we set off to McMenamins Kennedy School to settle who is truly the dominant of the two in a game of shuffle board. Brothers vs Girlfriends, aka Bros vs Hos.

Christmas Cheer

VIDEO #241

Song - "Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas" by Ella Fitzgerald

After a couple years of being domesticated, I have come to enjoy the simple things like redecorating for the holidays... but don't think I'm not the man I once was... these activities are accompanied by tackle football, whiskey, strip clubs and karate. Either way, happy holidays!

The First Snowfall

VIDEO #236
Songs - "Let It Snow" performed by Frank Sinatra followed by Boyz II Men
You thought it was pretty silly of us making snowflakes and hanging them in the window yesterday, huh? I almost did too until about 45 minutes ago when a great Pacific NW flurry stopped on by! We are pretty excited, maybe a tomorrow a snowman... although I don't want to jinx it, however a snow angel would be awesome.

Snowflakes

VIDEO #235
Song - "The Nutcracker Suite" by The Berlin Symphony Orchestra Remix
Tomorrow, if not tonight, should be the first snowfall in Portland and we're looking forward to seeing the spectacle. So... I've been subject to Martha Stewart Magazine, which the better half subscribes to and yes, sometimes I catch myself interested, please don't tell non-followers... umm, so we made snowflakes and that will ensure snow for tomorrow. You're all very welcome Portland.

Our (Ikea) House

VIDEO #228
Song - "Our House" by Madness
Ikea has quite the showroom. Room to room displays to help aid you in your interior decorating decisions that we all struggle with. Be prepared for the maze of furniture and remember to follow the arrows on the floor if all is completely lost. Overwhelming? Definitely... but oh so fun! Thanks again to Shirley A.S.C. for perfect camera work.
