What's Next?

VIDEO #366
Song - "Idioteque" by Radiohead
Three hundred and sixty five videos down, why not go for another year? I've got the hang of it now anyway so I'll just keep them coming! I'm sure I won't regret it! Here's to one more year of videos!

House Arrest

VIDEO #319
Music by Jim Walker
I can see the movie slogan - "Jaws made people too scared to enter the water... this will make you never want to deliver a pizza again!" I stumbled across this great footage shot back in December, 2004. Who knows what Corey and I were thinking back then, but when I looked at the footage today, I thought, man... this would make an awesome little short. Corey debuting in an all-star performance and the all talented Jim Walker setting the atmosphere... shoot, all I had to do is put the clips together and witness the magic. Great to see old footage resurface and laugh out loud... even if it's watching yourself getting strangled to death. Thanks Corey and Jim!

Song - "Mambo No. 8" by Perez Prado
Office Space is one of my all time, top 17 films and I thought I'd better salute the movie with my own little video. Here's to you Peter Gibbons! Thank you for inspiring me and forever extending my weekends to three days. Grrrrrrreaaaaat!

Twilight Trailer

VIDEO #295
One Hell of an Epic Score
For those who might know about the Twilight movies, maybe this will crack you up. If you don't, no worries, you're not really missing anything other than over dramatic vampires. Sorry if I offended any of you teenage girls out there. Edward Rocks! And yes... that is Katana and myself in the movie poster.

Rising Fears Trailer

VIDEO #258
Action, adventure.... romance?
Wow, this one goes way back! After school, my friends and I would film movie after movie with the huge VHS style camera, "Rising Fears" being our biggest production. I remember getting the name for the film scanning through magazines with them, picking one word at random, matching it with another. A little secret I'll let out, almost all films these days use this technique. Anyway, Rising Fears it was. After years of collecting dust, I remastered the VHS to dvd, recut and have copies on standby, ready to distribute to Focus Films or Paramount any day now. I'm sure they will get in a bidding war, all I have to do is sit back and ride the wave.

The Tale of Zadah Trailer

VIDEO #200
Library Music
Two hundred videos! I thought it would be a great way to celebrate the moment by putting together a Walt Disney style movie trailer of a video my Dad filmed of us kids back in 1988 when we were little tikes. I remember having so much fun, running around all over Duluth, MN with my brother Matt and friends Nick and Morgan. The filmed runs 30 minutes in length, all edited in camera over the period of just one day. The premise is kind of a Goonies meets Stand By Me theme where we find a map and set out to find it. It's safe to say this influenced me in what I'm doing today, and no, I'm not a treasure hunter. Great thanks to my Dad for lugging us kids around, filming the movie that would become the first of many in my time. Thanks Pops!

Behind the Scenes: Nike Campus

VIDEO #198
Song - "Heinrich Maneuver" by Interpol
Beaverton, OR is home to the all impressive Nike Headquarters, or "Campus" to those who frequent the area. The buildings are named after professional athletes once sponsored by Nike, most employees are head to toe in Nike gear and they average no more than 3.5% body fat. A cool company and a great place to work. Especially lunch breaks on a nice day where you might find yourself playing a fully organized soccer game or getting in a couple sets of tennis. Whichever floats your boat.

"Last Days" Casting

VIDEO #139
Here's a treat for you from the archives, recut from its original 16 minutes. Back when Director, Gus Van Sant was casting his latest movie at the time, "Last Days," my hilarious friend Kai and I set out for the street to interview the locals. We posed as a fictitious television show, "UVTV." We had no trouble getting an almost all access pass to film and harass the event. If you want to see the full version you'll have to come on over sometime and check it out. It's amazing.

Behind the Scenes: Old Spice

VIDEO #105
Today we wrapped the great old spice campaign. It was pretty amazing to see the feedback from around the world and reply with instant videos (which at one point crashed youtube) to the public which included replies from ABC, NBC, NPR, NYTimes, tweets from Twitter itself, Washington DC reps, celebs like Demi Moore, Alyssa Milano and Christina Applegate and of coarse, the regular Joe Public. A pretty cool experience and lesson in today's successful marketing strategies. Oh, ...I'd like to add, I've been a Spice Guy for some time now and I agree, it has aided in attracting the female muscle in sensitive lady noses my way from an early man age. Thanks Old Spice.
