And I better get a producer AND a writer credit for that one!" I know how much she loves Barbie photo shoots so I incorporated Barbies. The cat liked "Ken" too much so the monster part was a wash. Anywho, Happy Birthday Kim! Cheers ya later.

Library Music

Two hundred videos! I thought it would be a great way to celebrate the moment by putting together a Walt Disney style movie trailer of a video my Dad filmed of us kids back in 1988 when we were little tikes. I remember having so much fun, running around all over Duluth, MN with my brother Matt and friends Nick and Morgan. The filmed runs 30 minutes in length, all edited in camera over the period of just one day. The premise is kind of a Goonies meets Stand By Me theme where we find a map and set out to find it. It's safe to say this influenced me in what I'm doing today, and no, I'm not a treasure hunter. Great thanks to my Dad for lugging us kids around, filming the movie that would become the first of many in my time. Thanks Pops!

It's a family tradition to measure up to the relatives and see where you stand at my grandma's house in Minneapolis. I think the earliest measurement I saw was from 1964 and just the other day we marked the little ones for their first time.

The heat wave is still strong and the sun hats from the day before aren't quite cutting it. We decided to hit the club house pool by 10am, which was perfect. Greyhounds for breakfast, followed by a bloody and a pi ña colada seemed like a good idea, and that it was! Even as the day became sweltering hot and more screaming children showed up, there was a steady tingling sensation that carried on through the day which made everything nice and mellow. Unfortunately the nice tingling sensation turned into a headache this morning and I had to relive the pool experience in this edit without the medication that started off yesterday. It's a rough life.

Ballpark Tunes

A rain delay at the ball park allowed ample time to capture behind the scenes coverage of a video shoot with the Portland Beavers as they faced off against the Tacoma Rainiers. No one knows what the score was at the end but we do know that I caught two fly balls in the four innings we were there. Two! Ok so there were probably 37 people at the stadium total giving me better odds but still, ... two. With balls in hand, I soon realized these balls were not for me but for the little ones getting spoiled on a weekday, sitting in box seats high on sugar... these kids are the ones who needed the rush of the fly ball... so I gave my balls to them.
